I just re-read this, and I enjoyed it just as much as I did the first time I read it!! This novella takes place between Magic Bleeds and Magic Slays. It also appears in the anthology Hexed.
I love Jim and Dali, they're kind of an odd couple because she's practically blind and a vegetarian and he's big and badass but I love them together. I don't think I ever realized that Jim solves problems on his own, as an alpha, so it was cool to read about. Dali's a great character-she races cars, she's insecure, and she was willing to take big risks to save Jim. Her mother is pretty funny too. I loved the end when (view spoiler). I definitely recommend reading this one :D
(So it's mentioned in the novella that there are seven clans within the pack and I realized I don't know what they are...Jim's alpha of felidae, Aunt B's alpha of the boudas, Mahon's alpha of heavy, there's a wolf clan and nimble or something but what are the others??)

idk, this drove me insane! I tried to figure it out by alphas and then by the characters I knew but they all fit into the clans I already knew...(hope that makes sense)
so we have the
1 - Cats
2 - Bouda's
3 - Heavy (big animals)
4 - Wolf
5 - nimble (small animals)
6 - Rat
7 - ............
what the hell what the last one?? wasnt it the one with the odd animals?? like the rare animals?? hmmm.
