If I could, I would give it 3.5 stars; it's just not quite up to 4.

And don't start in about this book being racist. Sure it was, but judge it based on the standards of the time Heinlein was writing, and of his experiences. Heinlein served in World War II, and his view of the Japanese is colored by this; how many treatments of Germans in popular media portray them all as jack-booted totalitarians, without anybody batting an eye? Somebody had to be the bad guy invaders here, and it happened to be the PanAsians. Judge this story on its merits as a science fiction tale of resisting an invading army by deissolving its morale.
