This novel kept my interest all the way through. It was great to read about some girls who loved being outside, living with just basics and happy to do so. It was sad to read about the two sisters feeling abandoned by their mother and wondering why. There were no terrible abuse descriptions, no sex scenes and no harsh language. It was just a good story with a little mystery ~ enough that I wanted to keep on reading to find out what happened. I was 3/4th through with the book when I discovered I already had the same book on my bookshelf that had been given to me by a friend. I was disappointed because I had been saving the books on the shelf to read later on.....and now I had borrowed the same book from the library so I felt like I was losing a good story.....I wonder if that makes any sense to any other reader. It does to me.
