Probably the definitive book on the punk era in general and the Sex Pistols in particular.

Some great descriptive imagery - John Lydon as 'like a young Albert Steptoe' will live with me for a long time. A comprehensive set of appendices, references and discography too.

It's inclined to over analysis at times, which makes for a heavy read in parts, and to over estimate the importance of its subject matter.
