Ben is left by his mother to live with his dad who has just come out. Ben goes ballistic by doing drugs, running away and getting in trouble. Ben's dad and new partner move him out to the middle of nowhere and Ben turns out to actually love his dad.

I cannot say enough about this book! Every time I have a new favorite, another book like this one makes me more excited about the YAL genre! Michael Harmon deals with the main character's thoughts and feelings like someone who might have been through something similar. A little bit of TV type drama thrown in doesn't take away from the main story line.
