really liked it

this book was a love story and a life lesson. besides for a good book, its a feel good story and its a man in the struggle to survive in life and learn how to live life threw his ups and downs.

my favorite part to this book was when forest went to the Vietnam War. it really showed how good of a person he was when he went back to save his captain in battle. it also shows how small of a world it is because after the war, forest meet his captain on a boat and helped him a little. but the whole point of the story was a love story with a man on a mission to marry his dream girl. he went all over the country to find her and to fallow her and she ends up dying. and in his mind shes always with him. he would always write to her. the funny part about this book is it all takes place on a bench waiting for a bus. as hes telling his stories he has these listener that just stay and listens.

i recommend this book to anyone who wants a love story. its also a good read.
