Donna VanLiere proves that Christmas is not the only time of the year in which people can experience hope, joy and love in their life. Donna is best known for her Christmas Hope series, but in her newest full length novel, The Good Dream; we are taken back once more to Morgan Hill, Tennessee. And while the storyline is set in the 1950’s the lessons learned from this story are timeless.

This was truly an uplifting story, and a reminder that all people have been created to help and love one another - regardless of the circumstances. Ivorie is a constant reminder that despite what others may think about you or your situation, God has a greater purpose for us. This story definitely took me through a range of emotions, but overwhelmingly brought me back to love, grace and mercy.

The experiences and choices that Ivorie was presented with will remind you that life is truly about how you choose to deal with the challenges and circumstances that have been presented to you. You can choose to receive the challenges with an open mind and heart, or you can turn the other way. This is definitely a book that I would highly encourage others to choose to read; as it is one that will leave you with a new perspective on the challenges and circumstances we are blessed to be presented with.
