Fone and his cousins have started to settle down in the life in the valley, but strange things start to happen. At first Fone just finds his dream a bit weird, but then Thorn has started having strange dreams as well. The rat creatures attack Fone’s cousins Phoney and Smiley as they travel to the tavern with Lucius. Then a strange storm strikes the valley. As Fone and his friend Thorn sit in the barn out waiting the storm, they discuss recent events and her strange memories of the dragons. Gran’ma has been listening and she storms out of the barn into the forest to talk to the red dragon. Fone and Thorn chase after her only to be attacked by the rat creatures as well. Luckily the red dragon comes to their rescue. This is another installment in the Bone series, a great full color graphic novel aimed at kids but enjoy by adults as well. The plot is well paced to keep everyone interested and humorous moments involving Phoney and Smiley keep things light. Third book of the Bone series.
