Ordinary Beauty is a book that I normally wouldn't read but I found it when i wasnt having in luck with my normal go-to types of books. This book is a story about a girl's relationship with a mother that was never really a mother. It tells the story thru the main character flashing back to her less then ideal childhood. I'm not gonna lie this book did make me cry and it does pose an interesting question: What's worse a mother who never loved you or a mother who did love you but still chose to treat you horribly. Some parts of the story are a little perdictable but its still a good story. I would say that this book isnt as intense as Such A Pretty Girl or Leftover but its still a little heavy but its not so depressing that you would want to stop reading.
