At Last (Lucky Harbor, #5)

Whenever I see that Jill Shalvis has written another book, I don’t even bother reading the summary anymore because I know it’s going to be 1) well-written, 2) include a sexy leading guy, and 3) hot, hot, hot.
The next in the Lucky Harbor series, At Last features Amy, the sarcastic, tough as nails waitress at the only diner in town, and Matt, the local forest ranger who starts fires just from walking around in a pair of tight pants. You could tell in Lucky in Love that Matt clearly feels something for Amy, but Amy’s been fighting her own attraction to Matt because she doesn’t trust her own instincts anymore when it comes to men. She’s made one too many bad choices in her life and has decided since then to change and avoid men altogether.
I thought Amy was a good character and Jill did a good job fleshing her out to give her more than attitude and a vocation. And Matt was just… HOT. Jax has nothing to worry about since he’s firmly in the #1 Lucky Harbor Sexy Male spot, but I would tie Matt with Ty for the #2 spot. I think it helps that they routinely work out together. Can you picture it? Two hot guys… wrestling and sweating on a gym mat… maybe they’re shirtless… and in one of those headlocks…
That’s a nice image.
Umm… so, the book. Right. The book was great. It was cute and hot and funny. I read it in pretty much one sitting. With only one more book to go in this series, I’m not going to know what to do with myself after. I guess I’ll have no choice but to line them up and read them all over again. Make a weekend out of it. Until then, I’ll just imagine Matt and Ty “working out” some more.
