"The Shrinking Man" disappointed me, but this collection of short stories is undoubtedly a very thrilling and fascinating read (although I didn't enjoy every story in the same way). Reality and fear are mixed using a plain language, depicting obsessions and fears which are still much alive nowadays: the horror in our everyday lives! I especially liked "Nightmare at 20,000 feet" (an episode of the Twilight Zone as well, I remeber watching it on TV some 25 years ago or so), "Prey" and "Mad House". I'm definitely going to read more of Matheson's works.
