A very interesting, weird fantasy story.

It is certainly refreshing and different from the common, run-of-the-mill fantasy books that are being cranked out these days. I also must applaud the use of interesting and creative vocabulary usage throughout the book- it gave it much more dimension and texture. The world the author created feels very much alive and interesting.

I would have preferred to give it about a 3.5 rating, simply because some parts of the story are just too strange for me, and some parts of the story seem like they were left hanging at the end. However, it certainly deserves to be rounded up rather than down, so a 4 rating it is.

Otherwise, its a very interesting, enjoyable read- very different from the usual, and a recommended read.
