Lillian has spent her days trying to remember her past and an accident as a young girl robbed her those memories. Everyday she sits in her maze courtyard next the one thing that comforts her a Gargoyle statue. In a instant things change when a group of otherworldly creatures threatens to destroy her and the only one who she can run to is made of stone. Gregory has been in a healing sleep encased in stone for years until the blood of his beloved sorceress awakens him. Lillian will found out that all she thought she knew isn't true and there are realms that mortals can never know exist, but is she mortal or immortal that is the question. Her heart is being pulled to the one immortal that will lay his life for her. Gregory is pulled to his duty to protect her or betray her trust. I fall for the couple troublesome relationship and was in awe at the story itself. I'm looking forward to book number two.
