Maria is helping her parents make tamales for their Christmas celebration. When Maria's mother turns away, Maria puts on her mother's wedding ring. Later, she realizes that it is missing. Will she ever find it?

This book is great for teaching holiday traditions. It can also be used to help students practice their prediction skills and problem/solution skills.

Robyn Simmons Funny! I think it is great when you can find a good book that can be used to help students make predictions and connections, as well as help them to understand the elements of a story.
