Stupendous. Forget about the mystery part if that is what keeps you away from these because that isn't the delight here. Flavia is. Not to mention the setting, the details, the surrounding characters. Near flawless in presentation and execution, these are quite amusing, worthy novels on their own without the mystery. If you haven't started this series, well...
