Excellent book for anyone interested in birth, midwives, etc. I didn't necessarily learn a lot from this, having already done a lot of research on the subject, but I enjoy reading anything Ina May Gaskin has written and can't imagine not reading this one. As always, lots of personal experience/birth stories, etc., as well as more statistics than I remember in her other books, so a great resource! I have referenced it a couple of times already in discussions on related topics since reading it a couple of months ago. :)
