This book is a real charmer and I can't think of anything that I've read quite like it. I love all the different characters, the family conflicts (which are quite funny in spots), the gentle humour, the vast portrayal of modern India, the clever plot--it really is a joy to read. I liked it so much, I searched out the second book...and it didn't disappoint either. I also enjoyed it.

It's like a cozy style mystery, total comfort food...speaking of food, all the Indian food descriptions had me wishing I could cook some up in my kitchen pronto!

Highly recommend.
