John Grisham novels fall into my "airport reading" category. I pick up his paperbacks when traveling and I can always count on a good time but walk away with nothing more. The Brethren, so far, seems like one of those books. The timing of my reading of this book makes it kind of interesting as the Aaron Lake character is running for President of the good old USA. Of course, he's been hand picked and supported behind the scenes by the CIA for their own motives. Reading this at night while watching the tail-end of Obama & McCain campaigns doing their own political manipulations gives this book a bit more wallop than normal for me. I'm about half-way through
