Not bad - author Jacobs embarks on a nearly 2 year quest to get healthy in mind, spirit, and body. It alternates between mildly amusing, such as how he takes to wearing large 1980's size headphones to block out noise pollution and finds them addictive, to quite scientific, as when he undergoes a sleep study and discovers he has mild sleep apnea. Each chapter is devoted to a different area of change, such as eyesight, sex drive, and home safety. His wife and kids are probably the hidden heros of this novel as they had to suffer along with Jacobs with each of his explorations or fads. Overall it was enjoyable and I'm sure more than one person will find a technique or two that Jacobs pursued which will fit their lifestyle and allow for change. He achieved some lofty personal health goals and the humanistic presentation of both his investigations and how it affects his interactions with family and friends was fun to read. Recommend to anyone with some inkling of interest in seeing what measures of change could be accomplished in his/her own life.
