Or 9/10. I adored this book. Funny, sad, in parts eyeball scrapingly descriptive of physical afflictions (both horse and man). From the very start I had the first person narrative voice of Eli, the younger Sisters brother, speaking in my head in a Southern American drawl. I would never have chosen a book set in the American gold rush of 1850 and about a couple of hit men for myself but I am so pleased it was a book group choice. Despite the characters all being rogues of one form or another, you can't help but empathise with them.
