I just love Alexie's writing style, it's sarcastic, funny, interesting and brings into his writing the two worlds he lives in: Native and White America. The book is made of short stories and poems, my favorite story being "Blankets", in which the author is at the hospital tending to his convalescent Dad who went through a surgery that amputated his foot. The reason? Diabetes and alcoholism, "natural causes for Indians". The Dad is cold and needs a blanket, but only a specific type of blanket will keep him warm. This book is a quick but satisfying read.
