Millie's Fling by Jill Mansell is a hilarious read.

Millie meets a famous author, Orla Hart, as the author is possibly attempting to hurl herself off the local lovers leap because she has a husband who does nothing but live the posh life and run around with other women.

After talking with Millie, Orla gets an idea to write about a 'real' person and Millie reluctantly becomes her new muse - with pay, of course, yet Millie doesn't tell her everything...

Millie and her flatmate, Hester, come upon a mans wallet and decide to have a bit of fun before returning it. Millie makes a prank call to him claiming to have dated him and is now pregnant, only to find he is a recent widow. When Millie and Hugh meet, both are intrigued by the other and yet both have sworn off dating, for the time being.

Add into the mix Millie's travel agency boss and his domineering wife, Millie's mother, father and father's new wife, Hester's boyfriend, Hester's love interest Lucas, who happens to also be a friend and boss of Millie's and a 16 yr old neighbor who demands all of Hugh's attention, if ya know what I mean. Oh yeah and there's also the men Orla trys to push into Millie's life to 'spice it up a bit,' for the book you know.

Everything goes haywire, people see things and get the wrong idea, see things and get grossed out... It's a fun he said, she said, romantic comedy. Jill Mansell is a popular chilck-lit author in the UK. After reading Millie's Fling, I can see why.
