For every one who hates Sally Wentworth uber macho aggressive males here is the perfect antidote, a woman as cold and hard as steel who really goes all out to punish the man she believes betrayed her, pretending to love her and then framing her for drug smuggling. Lyn spent years in jail and when she comes out she forms an elaborate plan of revenge. The plan, to make Beric fall in love with her all over again, marry him, and then make him believe she's been kidnapped and killed. IN other words make him suffer torments.

HOw this all pans out in the end makes for a fascinating and highly readable story. Sally has a very distinctive style and her alpha heroes are over the top for this very PC modern world. Her heroines are often surprising and in this story at first glance she seems unlikeable. Luckily we catch glimpses of the real woman under the cold mask of the woman who emerged from the prison system. For her we want a HEA though with so much between them its hard to imagine it all coming right at the end.
