it was ok
bookshelves: m-f, romance, mystery

Not a huge fan. Too many story lines going on, too implausible a set of coincidences bringing everyone together. I didn't like the way the baby stealing was dressed up by the baddies as being visionary and morally right; reminded me in feel of a J D Robb more than a Nora Roberts. I could see Eve tackling something like this.

I was rolling my eyes over the complete lack of involvement with the police wrt the kidnapping until late on and then anything the police was doing (wouldn't it be FBI who got involved?)was off-screen and marginalized. All the interviews and running around -- that was not their job! There'd been a crime, dammit. Dallas would've had a fit...

Then I got to the very end and there was a reveal that had me spluttering with outrage.
