Nalena is known as The Waste at school, because of her mother’s bizarre obsession with paper. But Nalena’s life gets a whole lot more bizarre when she receives a sign that she isn’t who she thinks she is. Neither is her mother. And that knowledge is going to change everything.

I loved Cornerstone. Seriously. Why? 1) While there are familiar elements in common with many other teen paranormal romance stories, there are also a lot of original ideas and unique characters. 2) Nalena is no wallflower. While she is head over heels for Garrett, she won’t take any nonsense and gives as good as she gets. 3) Misty Provencher writes beautifully, and the editing is pretty good too. The pace was great. There was a good balance between budding romance, mystery, tension and adrenalin filled scenes. 4) I like the message that fear weakens us. As Nalena is instructed: Don’t bring fear into the fight. Overall: highly recommend this.
