This book follows the lives of a handful of home shopping channel hosts, the title of the program being Sellevision. You have Trish, a daddy's girl with "popularity syndrome"; Peggy Jean, a Christian, perfectionist homemaker with control issues (and her pervy husband, John); Max, the scandalizes and ousted host who falls into a new, even more revealing career; Leigh, whose affair with the head of the network brings her nothing but stress and empty promises; Adele, whose foray into being Native American isn't entirely what it seems; and Bebe, who denial of a shopping "problem" doesn't necessarily bode badly for her love life. It's a funny book (at times) and a slightly vulgar book (at times), but mostly it's one of those books where you want to grab certain characters by the hair and scream at them, "YOU'RE A MORON!!!" Read it.
