** spoiler alert ** Setting: Window Rock, Arizona – hotel, council offices, her house (shared with 2 other women), desert – where a car crashed 12 years earlier;

Theme: mating heat/love; saving his daughter; undoing the past for the truth;

Characters:
Honor Roberts / Liza Johnson: Honor and 3 others part of council experiment – as infants they had mortal diseases, and the council – using the mating chemicals – saved their lives; the 4 of them worked together to remember the pieces – chemical formulas, what worked, what didn’t, codes/decodes, etc.; at age of 12, the council wants them back and the Navajo Freedom unit is helping them to escape when two of their daughters took daddy’s car, and crashed into a wall… and though soul released, the Navajo shamans performed a ceremony that took the daughter’s memories, and supplanted the experiment’s memories – and for the last 12 years, they have lived as the daughters… Liza has had nightmares of her childhood, and snippets are popping into her mind more frequently;

Stygian Black: Breed enforcer; knows he is Liza/Honor’s lifemate; steps in to protect her… and used by Jonas to uncover her secrets; he is doing his best to love her (dominate her?!) and help her confront her interior self, knowing it is necessary for herself;

Claire and Chelsea Martinez: Claire is the second girl who gifted to the tribal chief’s daughter; her mate is Gideon – one of the four; their story next?

Jonas – desperately trying to get to the truth, get the 4 of them together, sure that they can find the antidote the council developed that saved the girls’ life… needing to save his sweet, adopted daughter’s life
