** spoiler alert ** The cover is so pretty I picked up the ARC and then got the first book of the series just so I could read this. Unfortunately it was pretty disappointing... After the ending of 'West end' and the introduction/background of the Norse gods I had expected this book to pick up with the mythology and action, having the characters grow out of their old restrained selves. Instead the book features these immortal goddesses & gods being generally so naive and blind to the point where I wanted to put down the book. The romances of the first book have turned static and sugary; the men appearing so besotted and sweet as to be off-putting. At this point I don't intend to read further in the series.
