This is a 3 or a 4 for the musical content. But a 2 for the parts where there seems to be a lot of rationalization and justification going on. Also: in some ways Richards's background (working class UK guy of a certain age) is very clear. Not exactly the most socially liberal guy, despite the drugs.

He indicated that he loves to wind up feminists, and I have to admit that in my case he succeeded. His thoughts on feminists: "Where would you be without us?" What?! Even the most kindly possible interpretations of that don't make me want to cut him any slack.

Also, the index is not complete. There are at least two people who were mentioned in the book but not in the index.
