I reallllly enjoyed this book! It didn't take long for me to finish either. One could say there were typical high school scenarios like being accepted into the "popular crowd" or having the childhood-but-now-jock-friend interested in her. However the difference with those typical high school moments and this story is that Ever never lost herself through those changes.

Ever is a fifteen year old girl, weighing 302 pounds. She's lost her dearest mother as a child and gained a step mother and two step-sisters. But more importantly, she's gained a voice in her head who constantly reminds her of her weight and the disgust people try to hide on their faces as Ever passes by. The voice is called Skinny, and Skinny whispers in Ever's ear the thoughts people would have about her like "How does that bed hold up under all your weight?," or "You embarrass her." As Ever has grown to Skinny’s thoughts as her own, she finally decided that it is time for a change and risk her health conditions by taking gastric bypass surgery. After taking that surgery, it has not only transformed her to another person, but another person that’s realized weighing 302 pounds wasn’t the sole reason why her close friends were no longer a part of her life, but it was because of Skinny.
