James Patterson's reputation is quite strong. I saw he was the most successfu author of 2011 with $88 million from sales and that he has written more than 60 popular books, many of them bestsellers, and so I decided that I must start reading his work.

Honestly, I was expecting more.
1. Although the book was written in many small chapters which I like very much, because it kind of makes it easy for me to read more, I found it a bit more too futile than a book of this genre.
2. The pace was fast and the story kept going fast as well, but it was actually so fast that there was no time for anything witty or interesting.
3. There was no thriller or suspense. The idea was good, but after all the title itself had nothing to do with the events in the book. There wasn't a single attempt to Kill Alex Cross.

I was thinking of reading the other books from the Cross series, but I'm not so sure anymore...
