Read in June, 2012

This is not a new storyline, but it is well done here. The main character is placed in extraordinary circumstances, learns a great deal about himself, and becomes a better person. There is a nice look at how societies are formed and function, too. Besides all of that there is an element of suspense to the story that helps keep it interesting.
