bookshelves: kids-books, fantasy, audio

This was a pretty good little fantasy, but there were certain things in it that just rubbed me wrong. The worst being that at the end, after the big fight scene they head back to the local pub for a big glass of milk. I mean, what kind of medieval-esque apprentice ranger drinks milk? I can understand not having him drink ale or whatever- it is a kid's book, after all. So make up a drink! It's a fantasy!

I know, I'm being picky, but small mistakes like that suspend the believability of the story, which is a major problem.
