The first time I read this I disliked it, I was instantly turned off by his discussions of society. Actually I think after attempting to read the Pilgrim’s Regress, I came into this book already having my mind made up about disliking Lewis and I didn’t give him a true second chance. Thankfully after hearing stuff about this book, I decided to read it again, it was far better than I remembered. I especially liked the later chapters on the trinity and sovereignty of God.

Michael One thing to recall about the book is the chapters were originally presented as talks on the radio. I'll admit there's part of me that is curious to hear the original talks, though I expect they weren't permanently retained. Shame, really.

David S. T. Yeah, I agree, the original talks would make a great audio book, too bad.
