This is a pretty tragic tale, told with clarity and just the right amount of distance. Each chapter of the book is pretty much self contained, relating to a specific time period or adventure or episode in Wendy's life. As I read, put the book down, and came back to it, I had to keep reminding myself that this is a real person, talking about her real mother.

Amanda Hi, how did you get to read this already? Did you get an ARC? I've been trying to find one myself and have had no luck.

Ayelet Yes, it was an ARC. I work for the publisher and was able to read one. Are you a reviewer?

Amanda No, I'm a professional librarian and purchaser for a large library system. I heard good things about it and wanted to read it before ordering copies for the library.

Ayelet It is available now on Edelweiss if you are registered... check it out!
