3.5 stars. Books like this scare the bejesus out of me because it hits close to home. I have family members who have struggled with their own addictions, and I worry for my 4-year old son that when he grows up, he too, will be gripped by the talons of addiction. I read this slim memoir through in about an hour. A must-read for anyone wanting to understand why someone, who is in the midst of destroying their life, continues to fall prey to their demons.
