Dave Eggers writes a powerful fictional autobiography of a Sudanese refugee. It reads like a composite of the many horrors suffered by those who were caught up the civil war. Eggers writing ability is so good that he is able to deliver this relentlessly sad tale in a way that enables the reader to stay with the story.
A word of caution: there is a lot of graphic misery in this book and almost no lightness. Don't go here if you are not prepared for a tale of woe.
