Awesome book. Awesome characters. Jacqueline had a personality and interests that rang true without her being a Mary Sue (that rhyming thing was unintentional). Her roommate Erin rocked. And Lucas…hell, I’m not even sure where to begin. Sexy, mature, deeply emotional, protective, and amazing would be a good start.

Like the author warns this is mature young adult—and I have no problem with that. The problem I’ve had with some books in this bracket is the intimacy is poorly done, either over the top or cardboard like without emotion. Not here. Though not gratuitous, there were several intimate scenes. Not that I’m complaining…the more Lucas the better. However, that brings me to one minor complaint, which probably stems from my Lucas love. I wish there had been more dialogue between them. Until the last third, he doesn’t say much—his actions do speak loudly for his character. I just wanted more Lucas. Still do:)
