It wouldn’t be summer without a new series from Susan Mallery! This is a great continuation to the Fool’s Gold series, started six books ago. You don’t need to start from book one, but I would recommend starting at the beginning of each trilogy. There are a lot of great continuing characters from the earlier books so there may only be some minor confusion.

Rafe started out with not much growing up so now that he’s become successful he’s not looking to come back to his home town of Fool’s Gold. But when his mom’s in trouble, he’ll race out there to protect her. Heidi doesn’t mean to be trouble, but her Grandpa’s got her in a bind that leaves her in the middle of a town controversy. She’ll do anything to protect her Grandpa and her farm, but maybe seducing Rafe is one step too far. He doesn’t have the same problem but their attraction can work against them when they are on opposite sides of this battle. Can there be a happy medium where one person doesn’t lose their heart and possibly their home? Great introduction to the newest Fool’s Gold trilogy and it will be a great summer catching up with this fun town!
