Three stars might be generous, as the book seemed to drag on in areas, and the story skipped around chronologically, which could be confusing. But for the most part, it kept my interest remarkably well for nonfiction. It was very informative, and the author obviously did a great deal of research to write this book.

If you're interested in learning more about Japanese internment on a personal level, then yes. I'm glad I read it.
