This is poetic book. The story is full of mysterious events and characters and unfolds over 15 years or so. It is set in Barcelona, in a area(the Ravel) where I lived in a shady apartment for 10 momentous days myself. The weaving of the familiar streets and monuments made this particular engaging, as I had sat at the bus stops, walked the streets, explored the churches that the protagonist moves through. It is a book about writers, writing, and the power of story: a theme close to my heart, being a writer and avid reader. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
