So I must say I rather enjoyed Gretchen Reynold's well-written book on scientific inquiries into exercise, fitness, and health (and how the results often run counter to commonly accepted fitness "wisdom," despite being rather common sensical).

I breezed through it in a couple of days after listening to her interviewed on Fresh Air. Many of these pieces were expansions of articles she's written for the NYT, but it was a pretty ideal ebook for my last few days of commuting.
