What a godawful book, in all likelihood the worst one I've read from a bestselling author. The dialogues were wooden and contrived, there was no character development all all, the characters themselves were interchangeable. There was no tension arch, the only tension present was created using some cheap effects and after the plot (as it was) resolved itself the book went on for some time without any justification or merit. I felt my IQ actually dropping during the struggle to read this drivel. I implore people to just stay away from the train wreck. I usually do not feel that strongly about a book one way or the other but after finishing this one I felt the author had insulted me by unleashing this on an unsuspecting world. Thinking back on how bad this was still riles me up more than 2 months after I finished it.
