I won this book from the goodreads first reads program and am grateful that I was given the opportunity to read it. It was an enjoyable book; the author is a very talented writer. Highly recommended, especially for those who love reading and writing. It was a realistic, honest, and enlightening look at the publishing world, without being overly critical and hard. The story entertwines the lives of two women, an author and a bookseller, brought together by their love of books and writing, who both have struggled through difficult marriages, and tells how they help and influence each other. Some of the scenes were a little contrived, and the ending a little rushed; but the character's feelings were clear and true.
