I waffled back and forth between giving this book a 2 and a 3. I ultimately decided on a 3 because I did think the story was interesting, but it just wasn't executed in an entertaining or readable way. The story, about a brother and sister who take their families on vacation together, is told from the points of view of ALL eight characters. And it jumps between characters so often and quickly that it got kind of hard to keep track of who was telling the story. I feel like this would work great as a movie! It seems like the author thought he was doing something really unique and creative with the way he wrote this book, but it just comes across as annoying and really took away from the story.
