Read from June 04 to 18, 2012

I found this novel to be less of a thriller and more of an action adventure tale. Think Cussler goes apocalyptic, and you'll be on the right path with this one. Very entertaining and action-packed with more than a few cool scenes. That Operation Paperclip is the basis for the novel is enough to earn it 4 stars from me, but what really sold me was the second half of SecondWorld. Wow. The story is fascinating and a little too believable...in that Operation Paperclip is real and all the dire possibilities its truth raises. Cussler holds hands with Jack Higgins and strolls the "fertile imagination" that belongs to the one and only Jeremy Robinson.

Higgins? Yeah, Higgins. Did I mention Nazis? Lots and lots of Nazis...

It's a story I wouldn't mind reading again. And maybe again.
