Bryan Cassiday This book seems to be a roman a clef about JFK in the guise of the character Clay. It makes some interesting cynical points about the duplicity and backstabbing in Beltway politics and castigates Clay's phony, media-manufactured image as a war hero, but reads like a Washington version of "Peyton Place" with a thin plot and not much of a story to engage the interest. Unfortunately, above all, it is quite dull.
