Eli and Charlie Sisters are infamous brothers on a mission from Oregon to San Francisco to kill a prospector. A revised version of the western novel, deWitt has created a perversely entertaining story of 2 hired gunslingers and the mishaps and adventures they face along the way to complete their job.

Eli's deadpan narration is just what you would expect of 2 professional killers yet somehow it also results in complicated feelings for the characters. I had a difficult time deciding if I should like or hate the Sisters brothers. Patrick deWitt has created a simple story with complex characters that is surprisingly moving and definite read if you like westerns or interesting characters.
