As with many anthologies with multiple authors, Welcome to Bordertown is a mixed bag. I enjoyed it when I read it months ago, but now that I'm finally writing a review, it's interesting that only a few of the stories stuck with me. Still, I really liked the urban fantasy premise, even though I haven't read the original books.
"Elf Blood" by Annette Curtis Klause and "Crossings" by Janni Lee Simner were my favorites. Oh, and "Welcome to Bordertown" by Ellen Kushner & Terri Windling, which explains the workings of this grimy, magical, fun world and sets up the premise for this collection.
