Ok, so it's not a literary masterpiece, but as a memoir of someone who has struggled with heroin, it's remarkably candid and lacking in self-pity. Doubtless it will appeal particularly strongly to animal-lovers, but it is a truly heart-warming story. Good luck to the man and his furry friend!
